Places to visit

Touring can include to the the north the D-Day beaches (which still contain remnants of the famous concrete Mulberry Harbour) and the interesting museum of the events that took place during and after the Landings,

with a few miles away the the town of Bayeux which houses the magnificent tapestry.

To the west the majestic Mont St.Michel and the rest of Brittany beyond

The winding river through the beautiful Loire valley lies to the south,

and only 170 miles away to the east is Paris and all that the City has to offer.

 
St Malo is another treat, with excellent beaches, shops and restaurants, and is only
a 90 minute ride away.

Closer still (30 minutes) is Lassay les Chateau, with it's superb, historic castle, a must while you are here.

Also close by are Mayenne, Laval, and Fougeres, all with motorcycle shops and other shopping.

Vitre and Fougeres also have castles.
